The show features the work of \nThe Artist Collective on Race\, Equity and Unity\, an interdisciplinary group of master artists.” \nExhibitors include visual artists Mike Faris\, curator\, Najaar Abdul-Musawir\, and Robert A. \nKetchens\, and performance artists Howard Hewett\, Samuel Hawkins and Callon B. The show \nwas commissioned by Legacy Training\, Inc. as a response to the study tour of the Equal Justice \nInstitute in Montgomery\, Alabama. The opening reception will feature the artists for a \nperformance and discussion of their work\, on Friday\, September 9\, 2022 at 4 p.m. Light \nrefreshments will be served. \n“We are committed to continue the work of Healing Illinois by encouraging dialogue and \neducating the community\, commented Lynne Chambers\, Executive Director\, Legacy Training\, \nInc. “I am utterly amazed by the stories that will be told\, and the genius of the work.” \nThere is no cost to attend the exhibit. The program is partially supported by a grant from \nThe Southern Arts Fund\, a program of Artspace 304\, and the Illinois Arts Council Agency made \npossible by the National Endowment for the Arts.
