Join us in Cairo, Illinois for Confluences, a free, daylong celebration of the region’s vibrant culture, history, and creativity at the meeting point of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.

Presented by Illinois Humanities’ Foreground Rural Initiative Southern Hub, hosted by Legacy Training Inc., and supported by local preservation advocates, this conference brings together storytellers, educators, artists, and community members to explore and honor the region’s past, present, and future.
May 29 – Healing Illinois On One A-Chord Concert

A special musical event promoting unity and healing through the power of music. This year our headliner is Grammy and Emmy winner Howard Hewett. This is a free to attend concert you won’t want to miss. We will also be collecting canned perishable items to donate to a local food pantry in need and/or bring a children’s book to give to incarcerated parents so they can read to their kids.
