Who we are

About Us
Legacy Training Inc

Lynne Chambers, Esq.

Executive Director

I live and work in what demographics show as one of the most poverty-stricken areas of the United States in terms of per capita income what I came to understand was that lack and poverty can damage the mind, destroy the body, and quench the spirit.

“I shall either find a way or make one”

Originally named, Legacy Training and Development, Inc. a.k.a. “Legacy” was conceived in gratitude and the desire to impact people in a meaningful, lasting way. Legacy’s original co-founder, Robert Anthony Ketchens, and I both grew up in circumstances that others have not survived. We combined the collective lessons that we learned in our professions, our passions, and our desire to serve our community as our way of expressing our gratitude.

Training means “to teach a person a skill or a behavior.” Our work seeks to empower every individual who participates in an event, to leave with a new skill, perspective, and an increased sense of purpose. Legacy brings subject matter experts related to health and well-being,  and accomplished teaching

artists into communities that would not have access to them otherwise. Each project is designed using a multi-cultural, intergenerational and innovative approach.

Legacy Training and Development Corporation in a non-profit organization whose vision is to alleviate poverty of the mind, body and spirit.  Legacy’s mission is to promote health, expand the arts, and increase legal access through education. within underserved communities in the Delta Region.
